Senior Minister

A welcome from our senior minister

Paducah is a quilt city, and I think a spiritual community is made the same way: by hand, piece by piece, with nobody’s scrap left out. We teach the Science of Mind®, a New Thought philosophy that brings religion and science together, and you are free to test every word of it.

Come find me by the coffee after the Celebration. I would love to meet you.

Your first Sunday, from the parking lot to the coffee

What actually happens, in the order it happens, so nothing surprises you.

9:50 AMTen minutes early is plenty

Arriving and parking

Park in the lot behind the building, or on Bellwether Street out front. Both are free on Sundays.

The front door, and the children’s check-in

Come in through the front doors. If you have children with you, the check-in table is right there. Ages 4 to 11 go to the children’s program during the Celebration, and you collect them after. The front entrance is step-free, and there is an accessible restroom off the lobby.

Adults of different ages sit side by side in chairs with their eyes closed.

10:30 AMAbout an hour, also livestreamed

Finding a seat

Sit anywhere you like. No one will ask you to stand, speak or introduce yourself. The 10:00 meditation is quiet and optional.

Coffee after

Stay for a cup, or slip out. Either is fine. If you stay, someone will probably ask how you found us.

Every Scrap Belongs

The pieces we would rather hide are part of the pattern too. On gratitude that starts with what is already in your hands, not with what seems to be missing.

See you Sunday at 10:30.
